Towards the Architecture of P2P-based Information Retrieval

چکیده
In the conventional Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks, many research projects or practical applications still use the keyword-based retrieval methods in the information searching component, while few of them support semantic retrieval, and even less in considering issues in the largescale information searching environment. That is, few research works have achieved in enhancing both precision and recall simultaneously. The advent of Semantic Web is a highly innovative manner to enhance both the precision and recall simultaneously in the large-scale distributed environment. This paper investigates several searching problem as encountered in a tourism scenario. Bared an ambitious goal, we describe a preliminary architecture of average peer.

Maraghe Observatory and an Effort towards Retrieval of Architectural Design of Astronomical Units
Maraghe observatory was built by such engineers as Moayiededdin Orozi etc. under supervision of Khaje Nasireddin Tousi in 7th century AH. The most significant feature associated with Maraghe observatory is the fact that architecture is employed to achieve astronomical purposes in this site. The reason for preferring observatory by astronomers was the fact that these units are superior to wooden...
متن کاملAgent-Community-Based P2P Semantic Web Information Retrieval System Architecture
Abstract. In this paper, we propose a conceptual architecture for a personal semantic Web information retrieval system. It incorporates semantic Web, Web service, P2P and multi-agent technologies to enable not only precise location of Web resources but also the automatic or semiautomatic integration of Web resources delivered through Web contents and Web services. In this architecture, the sema...
متن کاملBridging the P2P and WWW Divide with DISCOVIR - DIStributed COntent-based Visual Information Retrieval
In the light of image retrieval evolving from text annotation to content-based and from standalone applications to web-based search engines, we foresee the need for deploying content-based image retrieval (CBIR) into Peer-to-Peer (P2P) architecture. By doing so, we not only distribute the tasks of feature extraction, indexing and storage of image data into peers, we also introduce another aspec...
متن کامل11TH ICCRTS COALITION COMMAND AND CONTROL IN THE NETWORKED ERA The Gladiator Multi-Agent Peer-to-Peer Architecture Information Management, Agent Technology, Network-centric Computing
The advancement of Internet technology brings an overwhelming deluge of information. However, before this information can be effectively used, it must first be collected, filtered, processed, analyzed, and finally, presented in a meaningful manner. One such challenge is that of detecting duplicate documents. With the advent of peer-to-peer (P2P) computing, information sources or repositories ar...
متن کاملIntelligent Content-Based Retrieval for P2P Networks
Currently, most peer-to-peer (P2P) systems are designed for file sharing by network participants. Simple meta-data search mechanism will be sufficient to support searching and retrieving shared files over P2P networks. However, to share document information such as news articles, scientific publications, company reports, etc., a content-based search mechanism is needed to provide efficient cont...
